COVID-19 PROTOCOL
Dear Customers: We at the Grey Bruce Livestock Co-operative are open to market your livestock. The health and safety of our buyers, sellers, employees, and all of our families is our top priority. To minimize the risk and spread of infection, we have implemented the following control measures:
DUE TO COVID-19, THE GREY BRUCE LIVESTOCK CO-OPERATIVE IS TAKING THE FOLLOWING HEALTH AND SAFETY MEASURES AT OUR 2021 SALES:
This year, due to COVID-19, we will not be able to serve our usual free coffee before the sale.
Additionally, there will not be any food or beverages available for purchase at the sales yard.
As you know, the situation can change rapidly. We will do everything we can to keep our buyers, sellers, employees, and families safe. If you have questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to Tom (226-668-4450) or Terry (519-375-7957) for further information.

- ONLY PROSPECTIVE BUYERS AND SELLERS CAN ATTEND SALES. NO SPECTATORS.
- LIMIT OF 50 PEOPLE ON THE PROPERTY AT ALL TIMES.
- THE OFFICE AND AUCTION RINGS ARE OPEN FOR OUR CUSTOMERS BUYING AND SELLING LIVESTOCK ONLY.
- LIMIT OF 2 PATRONS AT A TIME IN THE OFFICE.
- MASKS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES INDOORS. THIS INCLUDES THE SALE BARN AND THE OFFICE.
- MAINTAIN A DISTANCE OF AT LEAST 6 FEET / 2 METRES (OR THE LENGTH OF YOUR FAVOURITE BULL) OF SPACE FROM OTHER PERSONS AT ALL TIMES. THIS APPLIES TO ALL INDOOR AND OUTDOOR SPACES.
- CHILDREN, THE ELDERLY, AND THOSE WHO ARE VULNERABLE MUST NOT ENTER THE PREMISES.
- IF YOU ARE FEELING UNWELL, HAVE A FEVER, COUGH, COLD, OR FLU-LIKE SYMPTOMS, DO NOT ENTER THE PREMISES.
- IF YOU HAVE BEEN INSTRUCTED TO QUARANTINE OR SELF-ISOLATE, DO NOT ENTER.
- IF YOU HAVE BEEN OUT OF THE COUNTRY IN THE PAST 14 DAYS, DO NOT ENTER.

Effective October 9, 2020, there is a Provincial Order in place mandating the use of face coverings. For more details, please visit www.ontario.ca/page/face-coverings-and-face-masks and www.publichealthgreybruce.on.ca .
Ontario Order 22, which lists essential workplaces, explicitly lists livestock auctions as an essential service. Specifically, the order states that all businesses that support the food supply chain, including assembly yards, livestock auctions, food distribution hubs, feed mills, farm equipment suppliers, feed suppliers, food terminals and warehouses, animal slaughter plants, and grain elevators, shall be deemed as essential workplaces. This includes the Grey Bruce Livestock Co-operative.
Livestock auction markets provide an essential service to the livestock industry and act as a critical link in the food production chain. For that reason, it is important that we continue to provide marketing services to the livestock industry in Ontario.
